we solicit bids on all merchantable timber only, or all
bare land and young growth only, or a “combination”
of all merchantable timber, land and young growth on 48+/-
acres as shown on the attached map in Brunswick County,
Virginia. If the timber sells separately from the land,
only the marked trees are to be harvested from the SMZs
and the (new) owner of the land shall be responsible for
compliance with the VA State Seed Tree Law. We have
made a 10% estimate of the pulpwood size trees. Our
volume estimate is:

BMPs as outlined by the VA Dept. of Forestry to be implemented
in timber harvesting operations. ALL paths and
boundary fences must be maintained and restored to a condition
as good or better than existed prior to logging. All
tops and laps must be removed from fields, ditches, and
streams. Double Stumpage Penalties will be applied and
collected for the cutting of unmarked trees in the SMZs.
A period of time until August 31, 2012 (18 months) will
be allowed for the cutting and removal of the timber. Mott
& Shay must be given 48 hours advance notice of logging..
NO BOUNDARY LINE TREES TO BE CUT. LAND AND/OR TIMBER IS
BEING SOLD IN GROSS AND NOT BY THE ACRE OR BY THE UNIT.
